Sono stati resi pubblici i vincitori degli Ignatz Awards 2017, che prendono il nome in omaggio al topo della famosa striscia Krazy Kat di George Herriman. I premi sono il più importante riconoscimento dedicato al fumetto indipendente americano. I vincitori di quest’anno sono stati annunciati alla cerimonia tenutasi il 16 settembre presso il Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland, durante la Small Press Expo, manifestazione che dal 1994 promuove il fumetto alternativo.
Due premi vanno a Emil Ferris, grazie al suo My Favorite Thing is monsters (di cui abbiamo parlato QUI), e un premio va a Carolyn Nowak che presto sarà ospite a Treviso Comic Book Festival (21 – 24 settembre) e il cui fumetto premiato è in uscita in Italia per Delebile Edizioni (QUI la nostra anteprima).
